As an insurance company that is licensed to transact insurance in Montana for which coverage is provided under the Montana Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association Act (M.C.A. Sections 33-10-201 et seq.), your company is a Member Insurer of the Montana Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association. On behalf of Elizabeth Sloan, Chair, notice is hereby provided that the Annual Meeting of the Member Insurers of the Montana Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, at The Wilderness Club in Eureka, Montana starting at 8:30 a.m. MDT.
Business To Be Considered
Election of Members to the Board of Directors: The term of two Directors will be expiring in 2026. In accordance with the Association Plan of Operation, the Nominating Committee has nominated the following member insurers for re-election to the Board:
Pursuant to Article 3.B.2 of the Association Plan of Operation, alternate nominees may be submitted for consideration by member insurers. Nominee names must be received in the Association’s office not less than 60 days prior to the annual meeting and must be supported by a written petition signed by at least ten member insurers. If a valid written petition for alternative nominees is received, all member insurers shall then be provided a ballot to vote for the election of Board Directors. If there is not more than one nominee for a position, member insurers will be deemed to have voted for the nominee selected by the Nominating Committee and the Secretary/Treasurer will cast a unanimous ballot for the nominee proposed.
Other Business
Draft minutes of the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Members will be recommended for approval and the 2024–2025 Audit Report will be submitted for acceptance.
